Windows freezes on startup logo

I have a TI Travelmate 5100 Laptop. After I install the TCP/IP stack for WFW 3.11, I type c:\win and windows gets to the startup screen and then freezes. I have reinstalled dos and windows twice and everything works fine until this stack is installed. The computer is running on a minimal configuration without any drivers loaded except for the Network PCMCIA card which is a 3com Megahertz. Anyone know what the problem is?

Hehe... that is what happened to me. I am currently re-formatting and installing WFW3.11. I am waiting for my post to be replied. If I do find out what is wrong however, I will help you out.

THATS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!!!!!!! i like its a flaw, anyways i think it turned out my network card was bad and wasen't connecting to the network, i replaced the card and everything worked great!, so heres some tips, try the card in another pc first just to make sure its working good, then for atleast the duration of the setup connect the pc to the network and make sure your network is setup properly
