hi all
I upgrade the motherboard of my old 286 to an AP43 486 motherboard but I still have an an EGA display, EGA adapter and so on, for installing 3.11 first I had to install win 3.1 because of no driver for EGA and then I tried to install win95 from dos when it gets to the graphics my display got mad , when installing from 3.11 it say that win95 can´t update my existing windows
now
is there any win95 that support EGA?
where can I find it?thanks
Manuel.
P.S. I´m sorry for my broken english.

i believe Windows 95 doesn't support EGA by default.
however i did see some kind of file provided by microsoft to allow one to use an EGA driver in win95.
try doing a search for EGA on there support site, change the product to Windows 95, and in the search panel, type EGA
at
http://support.microsoft.com
good luck! =)

Try and run windows 95 custom setup let it automaticaly find your hardware then when it gives you a list of all it has found select ega or monocrome display in the display settings box or format your drive and install windows 95 on a clean hard drive. If this dosen't work try and get a vga display card. If you can't get a vga card i might be able to send you one for £3plus postage. Hope this may help.
