I have inherited an original set of Windows 95 diskettes and have over 3o diskettes in total. I cannot find out which version this is as I cannot load it (disk 3 has a corrupted cab file on it and disks 20-22 inc. are missing). I have looked on the web and can only find reference to Windows 95 having a maximum of 23 diskettes. Does anybody know which version I have and if I can obtain the missing/corrupted diskettes?
You most probably have Windows 95b OSR2 dated 1996(or 95c OSR2.5 dated 1997)that is basically the same with USB 1.0 support). These sets were created when you started the Windows 95 pre-loaded computer for the first time. You were supplied with the stickers for individual diskettes and you had to buy diskettes.Look in the second hand market(flea markets opened during the weekend)for the CD that can be used to restore the diskettes(diskette number is normally the diskette cab number).
