Windows 95 disks

I formated my hard drive and now it won't load my cd-rom. I have win 95 but only on cd. I am so frustrated with the cd-rom driver, that I am giving up on that now and searching for win 95 disks. My computer wont load the generic drive so that is not an option. If anyone has this, help a poor college student out.
Thanks ( I have the cd, so It's not a complete copyright violation)

You should have partitioned your hard drive before formating. Now you'll have to get a boot disk with your command line, your i/o system, and your cd-rom driver installed. If you would have done it before, you could have used fdisk to install your system files before the format. Now go to bootdisk.com and you should find a disk that will help you.

When I bought my pc new in '95 it came with Win95 on CD & a start up or some people call boot disk. I've formatted my hard drive many times. Just pop the boot disk in, reboot, & your cd-rom drive is suppose to be recognized. Or download a '95 bootdisk from WWW.BOOTDISK.COM If that does not work maybe you need a new cd-rom drive.

You dont have to partition your drive before formatting if you are going to use the same OS you used before. I've formatted my hard drive running Windows 95 & reinstalled it,recognized the cd-rom with no problem. I did though have the dos driver for my cd-rom on floppy disk.

Don't need the disks. I copied the files to my zip drive on another computer and then loaded it up on my computer from win 3.1. Now my computer seems to recognize my cd-rom.
