You must have downloaded those at the same place I got mine...You will have to just rename the disks,Where I got mine set the disks where just miss labeled...I think you start at disk # 5 which would be #4.. Also to make sure, just stick in disk #5 in your floppy drive and click on it and read what it says..
I located an abandoned set of Windows 3.11 diskettes at the office. Took 'em home to see what's on them and add them to my Windows History archives (no offence to those still using it on older machines or for the sheer pleasure -- it was my meat-and-potatoes OS for many years).
But there were only 6 diskettes. When copied to a folder on my HD it totals to 461 files at 7.52 Megabytes of space. Am I missing any files? I'd appreciate knowing.
I have an old Version of Win 3.11 too. But I have 10 disks! To install Win 3.11 I need the disk 1 - 7. On disk 8,9 and 10 are optional tools for nedwork and printers.
I wanted to install network to my good old win 3.11. During the set-up it asked for disk #7 with eg. the ndis.386 file etc. but I discovered that disk contained an error making it impossible for reading. Any good ideas/recommendations/help ???
