I didnt quite think Win 3.11 has any Y2k issues by itself..
I mean, it could be year 1000 for all it cares as long asyou are not using any thing data sensitive...
I think the problem lies in DOS...
you could manually set DOS time to like 1159 and watch it tick over and boot windows see what happens...
then reboot and see if it works with that...
otherwise in case of my old computer it wouldn't turn over to 2000 by itself but the prog I got that supposely tests your system clock says it should be okay if I fix the date by manually entering and then reboot...

Go to the link and you will find the test and the fixit for the older dos computer on the yk2 bug.If all you need is to fix the clock. All you have to do is set the clock
back to the yead 1972.
All the dats qre the same.

If you go to Microsoft's web page, under download area (it took me awhile to find this) but Microsoft offers an updated Winfile.exe program that will correct errors associated with displaying dates past 12-31-1999. According to Microsoft, DOS is compatible until the year 2015? (I cannot remember the exact date, but if you look under the Y2K area, they will list programs and the year they have been tested to)

www.winfiles.com has WinFile Fix. This is the only Y2K problem with Win3.1. There are to versions of Fix - One for Windows 3.1x and the other for Windows for Workgroups.

First Fix your BIOS. MS-DOS is OK if you enter date as 4-Digits. Backup - Both DOS & Windows will show corrupt file dates. (Label Floppy Disk Sets with correct Date)
