Hi I have a problem with my videocard. It is a S3 Trio64V Everything seems to working ok in 16 and 256 colormode. But if i turn the videomode in 32K 65K or 24bit color i get problems sometimes: system freezes, screen messed up,... almost always when iam playing a video file, use image editing progams, screensaver, the patience game. Please help me with this buggy driver! (sorry for my bad english)

Hi XLWH What do you mean with not enough memory??? I have 64MB It is more then enough for windows 3.11 it wil work with 2 ;-) But i still have the problem :-(

Maybe the video card only supports 16bit color or less. So I would just keep it at 16bit or less. Or if you downloaded the drivers you might have the wrong drivers for it.

The driver may simply be corrupted. If you still have your driver file, you could try reinstalling. Or the driver may not be the exact one you need. I suggest you look up the S3 Graphics drivers page and see if you can locate a better one. On the page you will find 2 utilities that will correctly identify your chipset (one works in Windows, the other on in Dos (i like that one better)). Then proceed to the drivers download page and get the one for the specific chipset you have. If S3 Trio 64V is correct, you need the 775 driver for Win 3.1 HTH. Lightspeed.
