Windows 3.1 skin/theme for XP??

OS: Windows XP SP2
CPU/Ram: 1.4 GHz/480 MB
Comment:

Wuzzup everyone!! :D
OK, I wanna have a TOTAL Win3.1 look on XP.
I want to:

- Change skin
- Change buttons
- Change shell to progman.exe
- Move all my Start>All Programs items to the Program Manager

I'd like to do these manually... ;) (the harder the better XD )
How can I do it??

El-Trucha... modding or skinning XP to resemble whatever hardly seems to have anything at all to do with Win31

Change the shell
Open regedit and navigate to
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon"
and change the shell from explorer.exe to progman.exe then logoff and re-login.

Start menu programs
You need to do this from scratch

Skins and buttons
You may use Window Blinds, but I think you can replace USER.exe + USER32.DLL with Windows NT 3.51 ones (search for service pack 5) instead.

Point is, there's probably a better place to ask XP related questions than the Win31 forum

YES! as a newcomer I was wondering what this had to do with Windows 3.1 and still can not find any relevance, NT3.51 was that not IBM OS/2 ?? Probably as much relevence as Emulation ?

But.. yeah, don't know what you were thinking - modding XP relates not at all to Win31.

Might take a look at VirtualPlastic etc

WindowBlinds comes with a 3.1 type skin - quite faithful to Windows 3.1 as it goes!

Lol sorry Sulfurik, I don't use 3.1 so hadn't checked back here and didn't see youre replies.

Have you managed to get the skin? If not, all I did was go to the windowsblinds.net website and searched the 'gallery' for "3.1" and it found a few skins there.
