I think that I deleted the himem.sys and when I turned on my labtop and I type in win in the spot and it told me that it was missing, but I put in my disk and it had himem.sys on it and it still said that it was missing. I put in my windows 3.1 disk and tried to run setuo, but it diden't work either. Can someone please help me!!! I really need to get the files off it for work. PLEASE E-mail me at shasha908@yahoo.com

Who ever does help me Thank you very much.

I was just having this same problem. You need to check your config.sys file. If you can run in DOS type---( type config.sys) make sure the path is C:\ See if this file says Device=c:\himem.sys or were your config file is supposed to be. If it there then you'll have to rewrite it. I can help. As long as your himem.sys is were it is supposed to be It should work. As long as your system is booting up propery. Send me an email.
