Comment:
I'm getting a lot of General Protestion Faults (GPFs) in Windows 3.1. It mostly happens during connection to the internet.
To track down the cause I start Dr. Watson when I start windows. Now I have a lot of pages of "failure Reports" but don't know how to interpret them.
Some messages includ: "Exceed Segment Bounds (Read) $Kernel"
How do I get information regarding reading these reports?

I have gotten GPFs for years on Win3.1 & this is what helped me. I have never gotten another one since. You have to make the swap file bigger. First
1.) Go to control panel. Find the Enhanced Icon. Open it, click on Virtual memory. You will see the swapfile. The type should be permanent. Hit the change button & you will see the recommended size & change it to the recommended size. Close all programs & hit ctrl-esc. You will have to reboot for changes to take effect. This should all be done on an uncompressed drive. And also before you do any of this if you have the Windows disks, I would recommend that you reload Windows first.
