there is an application that comes with windows, i can't think of it right now, but it sets compatilibity with older apps. it can lie about the windows version, which dos/16 bit programs read win9x/NT/2k as windows 3.95 (instead of there respected versions) but this tool will lie and tell the app that its running windows 3.1 instead. try apcompat.exe or something. its in the system direcotry, check out the exe's in that folder, its there, somewhere.
