Comment:
I just installed a kenwood cd rom drive in pentium 133 system that did not have one. I finally got it boot up and windows 3.1 to load but when I go to file manager and try to run a cd I get the message: Cannot find file or one of its libraries, check to see if file name and path are correct. The cd says it works under windows 3.1 Also if I don't have a cd in the drive when I start windows I get the message: can not read from H: I just click on cancel and windows finishes loading. Everything else seems to be working ok.

Do you have the appropriate lines for the CD driver in your config.sys and mscdex in your autoexec.bat file? You may want to check the syntax, maybe you did not get it quite right.
Thanks but I already found the trouble. I tried a different cd. I found an AOL sign up cd and just tried it and it worked. I then tried another cd I had laying around that told me I needed to install win32s so I assume that is why the first one did not work. Doesn't matter now as I can upgrade to win 95 now.
