I have a parallel port Zip 100 external drive as well as the Windows 95b cd.
I thought I read somewhere that it was possible to copy Windows 95 onto a zip disk by copying the CAB files in the backup folder of a pc running Windows 95. Anyway, I'm hoping there's an easier way than transferring files onto floppies as Bob suggested. But if that's the only way, then I guess I'll do it.

I have this old laptop, a 486/50 with 16mb ram and a 320(I think)mb HDD...it has quarterdeck memory manager installed. I didn't install that program but I'd like to uninstall QEMM...will it mess up the settings on the computer? Thanks

Peggy I made a boot disk that will install your zip drive just as a win 98 boot disk install a cd-rom,and also I know a way to put most of win95 (any version) on a zip dist to make it install win95 if you want this information I will e-mail it.all you need is a win 95 on cd and a iomega 100mb zip drive.(or at lease this is what I have )
and Bob if you like I will send this boot disk to you as well.

The floppy set works fine, yeah it takes time you you only do it once,
And I was talking about an internal 100 zip drive, and as far as I know you can't get one, but external ones should have driver disk, and if you can get the zip to work then yeah you can copy the win95 folder on a zip disk, but first you have to set-up the external drive in a pc with cd-rom, copy the folder win95 the set-up the external drive to the laptop and run set-up from there or copy the win95 folder on to the HDD and run set-up from HDD, i find it best to copy the folder to HDD run from there, if wins needs anything later if there! you don't have to go looking for the zip disk. you can delete the win95 folder at a later date to free up space (80MB).
ZVT:will that drive work with internal or just external? It yeah then yeah, would like one.

Can someone tell me how to create the win95 floppies, so I can upgrade my 3.1 on my home computer that doesn't have an alternate cdrom or zip?
