Comment:
I need a win 3.11-driver on PC 486/66 for a AROWANA Modem - see Subject. The added CD only has drivers for win 95/98, NT but no win 3.11-driver!???? The box-descriptions include compatibility to win3.11 too!? What's to do?

It has been asked here before, Replys posted, and it will happen again, of that I am sure:
Thier are NO MS-DOS or Windows 3.1 Modem Drivers! Why you ask? Simple - You do not need them! In MS-DOS or Windows 3.1 it is the Application that sets up the modem not the OS. Look at your DailUp, Communication or FAX Application, and setup modem from within each application. If you have 3 differant packages needing a modem, you will have to set it up 3 times! Fun!
Windows 98/98 Modem INF files are no more than a file telling Windows 95/98 to store this information in a centrol location, so that all applications can share it. A great improvement on MS-DOS & Windows 3.1 I must say.
