I have problem with one old computer, it has win 3.11 and when i switch computer on it says, that can't find win386.exe and shows me norton commander. I can't get windows running, what should i do?
I don't have win 3.11 setup disk.

Well the easiest thing to do would be to reinstall windows, but since you cant do that I would suggest you do a search in google for 'win386.exe'. Copy this file into the windows directory and reboot the pc. If this still doesnt work then alot of system files are missing and you would need to reload the OS.

I have a similar problem as Kairi, but I seem to have all the files for WFW on my hard drive. When I try to open WFW 3.11, I get this message:
"Make sure that the PATH line in your autoexec.bat file points to the directory that contains the file and that it exists on your hard disk. If the file does not exixt, try running setup to install it or remove any referenced to it from your system.ini file."
Okay, I get this message referencing ALL of the *.*.386 files. They're all located in the Windows/system directory, and are referenced in my sys.ini file.
Should I run scandisk from DOS and see if there are any bad sectors in my hard drive? If the drive turns up clean, what exactly should I add to my autoexec.bat file to get WFW to work? I don't have a backup copy, otherwise I'd just do a fresh install.
Kairi, I'm looking for the WFT software all over my city...If I can get lucky and find more than one copy of the software, I'll email you.
Take care,
J.PS: I do have a registered copy of WIN95, but the computer with WFW 3.11 doesn't have enough memory to run 95. Otherwise, I'd just install 95 on the computer.
