Unzip the files in other computer with alex511 or any unzip program. you can find alex511 at http://briefcase.yahoo.com/windowsforever or the aladdin expander web site. Then open the new folder (Now with all files unziped)Click edit, select all, click File and send to Floppy. Do this with all the zip files.

You have to format the HDD and then install DOS. Just insert first DOS floppy and type setup, after that, follow the on screen instructions. With DOS already installed insert the first win 3.1 floppy (Not the boot disk but Disk1) and type setup, follow the instructions and you are in business.

If you don't have any DOS disks you can download DR-DOS 7.03 and create 5 install disks;

ftp://ftp.lineo.com/pub/drdos/DR-DOS.703/images/

You need 5 formatted 1.44 Meg floppy disks.

Create a Temporary directory on your hard drive

Download the 5 install disk images

disk01.144
disk02.144
disk03.144
disk04.144
disk05.144

Download
mkdskzip.exe

Double click mkdskzip.exe or type mkdskzip.exe from the same temporary directory in DOS.

A few files will be unzipped.

Double click makedisk.exe

Makedisk will give you instructions from there on.

When you are done with all 5 disks, reboot your computer with disk 1 in the floppy drive.

Exit from the installation program and from the A: prompt type FORMAT C:

This will wipe everything off your hard drive and you can start with a fresh install.

After the format is done reboot your computer with DISK 1 in the floppy drive and your DOS installation will begin and you will be prompted for disks.
