Have IBM PS/1 Consultant with MS Windows 3.1. 486sx 25mh with 129mb hd & 2mb memory.
The problem began after installing Calmira II v3.02 as follows: after booting up & entering VSAFE I usually entered WIN at c: to start windows. When I did this after Calmira install, sys would go to Windows intro screen & then give the error. It states: "Standard Mode - Bad fault in MS Dos Extender". I found the only way to get into windows was to reboot & at c: chg directories to DOS then at c:\DOS> I would type in AUTOEXEC.BAT & enter. This opened VSAFE & opened Win 3.1 with the look of Win95 (My Computer - Recycle Bin etc on desktop). Did a restore to take sys back to prev days settings. Did as originally at c: typed Win. Now I got "Standard Mode - Stack Overflow". I opened by c:\DOS>autoexec.bat & went to CALMIRA icon & used the uninstall & it was successfully removed. Shutdown & rebooted & went in by c:>vsafe then c:>win. Rcvd "File error - Cannot find %". Now am unable to access windows at all even by the Autoexec.bat thru DOS. I now get the error "Error Loading Progman.exe". Any suggestions would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
