Win 3.1 Driver for Montego II?

I have managed to get WFWG running on an old Dell XPS-R450, all original equipment. It comes with a Turtle Beach Montego II sound card, which uses the Aureal 8830 chip set. I have never been able to locate a Win 3.1 or WFWG driver for this sound card. Has anyone out there ever managed to get this sound card running under Win 3.1 or WFWG? It is great to have Windows 3.1 back again, but without a sound card driver, it is awfully quiet! Thanks.

You could install the PC Speaker driver. Not Hi-Fi yet (slightly) better than silence.

Better to just give up the fight and pick up something like an AWE64 ISA card. You can get one on Ebay for the price of a trip to Burger King and it won't make you fat.

Yup, I have concluded the same. Darn shame though... its too bad to have to have one set of hardware for everything else, and a separate audio card just for Win3.1. It is even more annoying in that I have a DOS driver for the card, and it works! There doesn't seem to be any way to make Win 3.1 pay attention to that driver though...
