Comment:

I have a computer i put together that im trying to get running as a stand alone cd player with win 3.1 the computer is a P150 underclocked to 84Mhz (heat reduction)
i have 64 MB ram in it (and can add another 32 or 64 if necesary)
i can't get an mp3 player software that will allow me to set playlists.
i tried winplay3 but its locked to the main disk and wont let me access my cd-rom or mp3 hard drive.
i was wondering if an older version of winamp would work on it, or if programs written in visual basic will work.

i am also willing to run the system in dos instead of windows, but i cant get Damp to work.

thanks for your time

If you install Win32's, you could probly extract the CD player from Windows NT 3.1.

Really Win32+W31 = NT31's Win32 support
AKA : It sucks.

Also, if you lucky, the CD Player in NT31 is 16Bit. Im not sure, but it probly is.

I know some stuff from W95 will run under W31 W/ Win32's like the calc

PS: Winplay3 locked up on me too very quickly on NT4 for some reason

You could get 95 & WinAMP 2.9. Dont try 3, thats buggy. It locks up on everything
