Hello, I am repairing an old pc for somebody it needed a reformat so i reformated but when i type setup( i have dos installed VER 6.22) it i gives me a data error and then when i run scandisk it says it can not be repaired. Could someone please tell me where to download or send me disk 1 of the windows disk set using 5 1/4 floppys. They are the legitiment owners of it.

If you only have DOS 6.22 on the HDD theres not much point looking for win3.1 disk1!! the problem must be with the DOS files.

Have you tried formatting and installing the 3.1 without the dos on it? I know where I can put my hands on the 3.1 version in 5.25 disks, but they ain't cheap. It's at an old computer goodwill store, but they have everything including windows 2.0. But I would try going around the dos first before I tried replacing a disk that might not be bad.
