hi. whys there never been a version of msn messenger for the windows 3.1 platform? i know microsoft probably think no one would use it - but surely it could be done on windows 3.1..? Al

Windows 3.1 is not supported by Microsoft now, nor is Windows 95. That means they will never again write anything for them.

There is a program that lets you instant message across MSN Yahoo ect.It runs on 3.1 I think.I cannot remember the name of it.

I have that program. It is called Trillian. The current biuld is 0.73, but I am sure that a previous version will work with Windows 3.11. Biuld 0.73 will now work on Windows 3.1x as far as I know
