What web browser do you use in Win 3.11 that doesn't error out all the time? I'm using Internet Explorer 5.0 and Netscape 4.08 and they PARTIALLY work , but usually halt on script errors. Is there anything that works really well with Win 3.11?

Yep, Opera 3.62 was the best in it's day (3.62 was the last Win3.1 version). Problem is, it wasn't free (that may or may not have changed). Still has some problems with some sites, but nothing near as bad as IE5.x or NN4.x. Works well on a 386sx16 w/8MB of RAM or better...

I use IE3, IE5, Opera, Netscape and Mosaic.
Those are about the only ones for win3.1 that i can think of. And i have so many on the one installation because constantly, a browser may display an error and not start again. Therefore other browsers are handy! :)

I like chocolate!

If it's not too late to reply (it's only been six months...):

If you know how to program in Visual Basic 4 (I don't), consider making one yourself. The makers of the Off By One web browser, a company called HomePageSoftware, have a product called WebSter Pro which is a core for a web browser and kiosk software. It's possible to build a Windows 3.1 browser using it.

It may not be *the* newest thing in the world, but 2006 is fairly recent for a Win3.1 program.

Myself, I regularly use Off By One v3.5d (for Win32 versions) both as a quick portable browser on Flash RAM (1MB of memory is all it requires) and to view sites that could have viruses or illicit scripts. Yes, that means the program I'm recommending has no Java, no Javascript and no Adobe Flash, but it's small, reliable and usable.
