Hi everyone-
Just wondering what everyone's favorite win 3.1 games are. Right now, mine are whack-a-mole and battlezone.

Bad Toys 3D - - other than that, never really saw the point, games of that era 'should' be run from DOS

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

If you mean specifically windows 31 games, as opposed tho those dos/win hybrids that 'ran' (sure...) under win31, (and i'm sure you do), then 3D ultra pinball, for sure..like the first one of them, and creep night pinball, and there was one other that ran on win31..that i only then had the demo of..and the tiny, funky, TDK pinball machine (came with some video disks way back when), and i think maybe the entertainment pack with the tetris...
That's about it...
it's true, what the previous poster said, that back then all the good gamees were dos games...

Obviously, i think i believe you think i said what you want to believe, but i think you didn't believe what i think i really said...

You wouldn't happen to mean the Maxis Demo of "Space Cadet" (essentially the same as the Win95-Plus version from M$)? I remember when I found that one I was amazed it would play on my 486/DX33 under Win 3.1. It convinced me to buy the full CD...

jboy-
I checked out your link for bad toys 3d
(thanks for that, by the way), and it says you need win95 to play that game.

Hmm - it doesn't seem to want to install under WfW, that's for sure - supposedly v1.95 is suitable for "Windows 3.1/95/98/ME/NT/2000"

There's an older version at FileLibrary - still just the shareware demo (3 levels) but kind of droll.

Actually, the one i was trying to rmember was 3d Ultra 'the lost continent", and i thought it was a demo i had but apparently it was the full verion...i think the demo was something else like it (over the top lo-res graphics, weird ball action...loads of fun!)
I never had the Fulltilt w31 demo, but the one from the plus pack (space cadet) has been on every w31 install since i first heard about it..and it does run perfectly in w31.
The full 32 bit full tilt refuses to run..it wants more than the dummy direct-X some games supply for win31 compatibility...
There was a win 31 version of both it and the second one too, i think...
Have you tried lifting the full install of 'bad toys 3d' off a working install, onto w31?
Could also be that if it sees win32s it switches into 32bit mode, (some games do), and then error messages because it's the wrong 32bit extensions for the game..
Just a guess...

Obviously, i think i believe you think i said what you want to believe, but i think you didn't believe what i think i really said...

Interesting...

Never tried it (assumed it wouldn't work) but I may have to drag out the WfWG laptop and give it a try...
