webcam and win 3.1

Hi, I have an old IBM laptot running win 3.1. I would like to know if it is possible to connect a webcam and if yes wich software can I use to capture video? Thanks and Happy Crhistmas everyone.

Webcams require a machine with much higher specs than yours. Typically minimum specs would be 98SE and a USB port. Why don't they make computers that will do what we think we want them to do?

Using Win 3.x, the best you probably can do is capture stills, using a parallel port adapter.

Sure - I've got a 'toy' (low res) AOL digital camera that connects to the serial port - I believe it'll run with 3.1 Why don't they make computers that will do what we think we want them to do?

Summary: I have 486 machine. After formating hdd I installed ms-dos 6.22 and win 3.1.When I srart the computer,after the bios information it says starting ms-dos and a curser appears and the computer freezes....

Summary: I didn't quite clarify what I meant about that 5 GB partition. I meant that I use it for extra DOS (and Win 3.1 in the future) filestorage, not the OSes themselves. DOS itself is on a 2 GB partition...
