Microsoft says virtual pc only work if the host os is nt based.I want to used it with either ME or 98se.Any one know of an emulator I can use to run win 3.1 and dos 7.1 on a 9x machine.

The newest version (5.2) does require NT based systems, but Virtual PC 5.1 will also run on Windows 98SE/ME. I'm not positive where to find it, though...

PCPlus (a UK magazine) had version 5.0 (works with the MS website's product ID) on issue 199's CD.

Thank you for the info. A.A. Fussy, I live in The U.S.A. so unfortuanty I dont have access to a U.K. magazine.Un less you would be so kind as to send me a copy of the cd or at least a subscription order form. ;)

It's free, hosts pretty much anything on pretty much anything. Performance is pretty bad though. I've hosted 95 on a Mac before.
