Owing to a hard disk crash, I lost some important files that I really need. Looking at some old diskettes, I found the old backup diskettes containing these lost files. The problem is that an old version of mwbackup was used. I have a copy of the old backup program but the computer is asking that the file vfintd.386 be installed in the windows system directory. Where can I find this file? I'm presently using win98, is it safe to install this file?

Hi Ernie Amistad: I think the vfintd.386 is a DOS file which needs to be added to windows\system\vfintd.386 directory, also you need to put this command line in system.ini file. Go to web address below for more info, & I will try to find this file from my old 489 Win 3.1 PC & e-mail it to you.
