Hi, it's possible to update my msdos 6.20 to 6.22 without reinstall dos???? It will afect my win 3.1? or my calmira'? or the functionality of my old laptop??
Thankz

sure, thats what upgrades are for, dos comes in both versions (upgrade and full install)sorry i cant post a link here but all my links are in a different browser!
Be forewarned, though , if your using doublespace, that its incompatible with drivespace (dos 6 has doublespace, dos622 has drivespace) and if you do a full install of dos 622, youll lose all the files on your compressed drive. The upgrade has a fix for that, though.
So, if youve got a compressed drive, you *have* to use the upgrade only.
If you dont, theres no prob at all, either way, full or upgrade, it wouldnt affect your windows files.

The download to upgrade from 6.00 to 6.22 is available from MS:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q124434
Do not know much about W3.x config but can not see it will effect Windows, there is still a lot of support for the Windows and DOS O/S from MS, just have a browse through their knowledge base!

You will find most of the useful Microsoft stuff on my DOS & Win3x resource pages. Including a direct link to the MS-DOS 6.22 Step-Up files. which fixes DoubleSpace to DriveSpace as well by the way.
MS-DOS came in 3 types.
Retail Full Version Install (All versions)
Retail Version Upgrade (5.0 to 6.x for example)
and
Free Version Step-Up (6.x to 6.22 for example)
It is this Free Step-Up which is available for download from Microsoft.
