I've installed an OPERA browser but every time I try to connect a message says "unable to locate dialer executable [3]. check c.serve.ini ". I'm completely new to computers and I dont have a clue.Please help me so that I can at least use my own machine to write pleading letters. Gavin.

Gavin, Opera doesn't come with its own dialer. You can either download a shareware winsock dialer. If you download one, it will either stop working after 30 days until you pay or give you a nag message every time you use it after the trial period. It is just as easy to download Internet Explorer 3.03 which comes with its own dialer. Install IE 3.03. Once it is installed, configure the dialer to your Internet Provider, and in the dialer, uncheck the option for Starting Internet Explorer every time you dial up. Then, copy a dialer icon into your OPERA group, double click the dialer to connect, then start OPERA.
