I installed 5 of the seven disks on my portable pc and it rebooted and now it reads from the A: drive and says Non-system disk or disk error when it boots up. There is nothing in the A:drive and it never booted from that drive before. Where can I download a boot disk for win 3.1.

Sounds like the bootup files got erased from your c: drive. That would make your laptop turn to the A: drive demanding a bootable floppy. Boot disks for Win3.1 are really DOS boot disks. Most people today use DOS version 6 or DOS 6.22 www.kewlone.com has DOS. Transfer the system files from the floppy to the hard drive using these steps. 1. Make sure you have a bootable floppy in the a: drive with the file sys.com also on the floppy. 2.
