I am upgrading an old Tandy 1000SL and i am having troble trying to figure out how to set up the hard drive with the second IDE controler card and also getting the computer to recognize the floppy disk drive.
Also i need help on what to put in the autoexec.bat and the other dos boot up files to get the floppy, hard drive, cdrom drive, IDE/Floppy card, sound card, video card and modem.
The only thing to get into the bios is this program called SetupSL.exe but i don't see where i put the infromation for the hard drive information. if anyone can help please contact me or reply to this post. I am so much lost and afraid of being stuck with a heap of silicon.

If I remember correctly, the old Tandy pieces used a non-standard irq for hd controllers. IRQ 5 I believe. If that's of any help to you.. (translation: try to find some old tech manuals, perhaps in a Tandy repair center if they still exist)

i have a Tandy 1000 from the 80`s and it works but when i want to change settings or go to computer maintanace you need a password and i don`t have the password i can`t remember it.please help
