I bought a Toshiba Tecra 500 CDT (Ebay). It came sans a system disk. I only paid a pittance for it but the reviews say this is a good machine. Where can I get a system disk? Don't tell me Toshiba support. I called and talked with an elephant driver in India. We argued about how many digits were in my machine's serial number. One of the local computer geek stores said, "Sure bring it in and for $120 we'll fix you up." Am I better off taking this to Goodwill and getting a tax deduction or what?

The site I linked to in Response Number 1. Click on the Download tab and you'll have 4 pages of utilities, drivers and so forth. In addition, 248 support bulletins and detailed specifications are available.

"Download everything you can for your 500CDT now. It could all be history in a week or a month."
Amen to that (and burn a couple copies to CD/DVD). Older machines are getting notoriously difficult to find anything for. When IBM took down all the PS/2 downloads from their web site it's untelling how many machines they helped contribute to landfills across the country...
