Comment:
When I attempt to reformat a hard drive, the process gets to 88% and I get an Error Message: An Internal Stack Overflow has caused this session to be halted. Change the STACKS setting in your Config.sys file and try again. I changed the stacks setting and tried both 9,128 and 0,0 per Technet, and it did not work.
This seems to have helped me in that my computer boots up better (I had problems booting up and shutting down). Note that these corrections are for Win '95 and I used them on Win '98 SE. If you don't have a stacks setting in your config.sys, you have to make the entry... Hope this works for someone.
I just finished Defraging my system and now I am getting A stack over flow error, It said to go to my System.ini file and change the Minsp to greater that 5, but when I looked. No such thing was to be found. Using Win 98... what do I do
