I downloaded sound card drivers from Creative for win 3.1 computer i'm working on but I can't figure out how to expand the files before I copy to a: drive, or do I have to??? When I copy to floppy, then try to install, it asks for installation disk. I can't read the readme file on it cause it says "Line error" or something. It acts like the download sbbasic.exe needs to be uncompressed before I copy it to the a: drive. Does it or does it not?, and how in the world can I do it????? Please help me!!!???

lee, just double-clikc on the "sbbasic.exe" file, but first make sure you put it in an empty "temp" directory. it will expand into a bunch of files, one of them being "install.exe". exit to dos, then go to the temp directory, and type "install.exe". the program will do the rest. i ahve a soundblaster card, downloaded that exact file,a nd everything works fine ;o)
