I am trying to run Autocad R12 (Windows 3.1 version) on a newer computer more fast, and I get "Divide By Zero or Overflow Error" => 'Close'.
This is the typical "Run-time error" that occurs on computers that run too fast and overflow a timing loop in old software.
I proven with a lot of MS-DOS programs (Mo'Slo - Slowndown - Bremze...) that temporarily slow down the processor rate of the CPU, but I could not solve the problem.
I need a Win 3.x software to slow down Autocad R12 for Windows and others Windows-native applications.And/Or if someone can add some other idea to solve this problem of Windows speed-sensitive programs, please help me...

goto the "Free software for DOS" site (do a
goole search) and under system utilities
there is program called slowdown. It is
supposed to slow down your PC so that it
behaves like a slow PC. I think if you run
this at the DOS prompt (it is a TSR) and then
load windows, and then start AutoCAD it
should worki've switched to Linux!

You could run virtual PC software on the computer. The virtual CPU within the software will run much slower than the actual CPU and you'll have the added benefit of having Win2000 or XP with other programs available while your using the autocad R12 within a virtual PC window.
