Simple Swap file question

So, for the heck of it, I created an extra partition on my hard drive and have been playing around with WFWG on it. When I boot to DOS/WFWG I use xmsdsk to create a ram drive. DOS recognizes it, Windows File Manager recognizes it, but when I tried to see if I could put my swap file on it, I'm not given the option, and I'm really curious why. Thanks.

IIRR wfw insists on putting it in the root.
If at first you don't succeed, you're about average.

That's not a good idea anyway. You would be taking away memory that the system could use and making it use the RAM drive, which is much less efficient.

I made a post but didn't realize that I wasn't loged in, so if my first post didn't go through, I just said that I have reasons for wanting a swap file on a ram-drive, and that editing system.ini can allow for that.

If your stated specs are accurate, (1Gb) then the swapfile isn't really going to be utilized
"o if my first post didn't go through"
Hit refresh maybe? It's not rocket science
