After re-formatting and re-installing Win 3.1 I moved the entire computer to another room to make way for this newer one. The move seems to have made the picture size smaller with a large black border around the picture which the physical screen controls are not capable of enlarging to the edges of the screen anymore.

Does anyone know which part of the tube electron gun settings can be adjusted so that the picture falls back to the mid-range setting of the vertical height and horizontal width controls? Thank you. Iain.

Just guessing here.

1) Look where you held the monitor. Are there any wheels for controlling picture sizes.

2) Is there a knob sticking out of the back of the monitor - try tweaking it.

Hi Iain:
There are 2 types of controls for monitors, 1 is the old analog type where you have knobs to control the picture size & position. The newer type used a digital push buttons like a newer T.V., there again you need to find the horizontal & vertical size controls to adjust size. There are some older monitor (analog type) that will not fill the screen, they will have a black border of about 1".

Good luck.
