Hi everyone,
I finally got my hands on a SoundBlaster 16 sound card for my 486DX66 running DOS6.22 and WIN3.11. I plugged the card into a slot and installed the driver but the default config settings did not work. I receive an error saying that the port is already used or something to that effect.
Any suggestions for other port settings I could try because I have no idea? Is there a specific slot I must plug my card into? Or if someone can direct me to a manual for the card containing the different settings I could try, that would be great!

Summary: x86: Thanx for the links... but aren't the ones on that second link for SB 16 ISA? I thought that was the default if it didn't say... might be wrong... ...
Summary: I agree with jboy. Try this: At power/start up hit the delete key to get to CMOS. scroll down to the Hard disk autodetect option. Check to make sure the system even detects the drive. If so select Y ....
