Restoring backed up data

I backed up lots of files from my 3.11 system using the back up utility that comes with 3.11 before I upgraded that system to 98. My question is how do I restore those files in 98? it gives me a funny file name, like Cc61128a.001, that I can't seem to open with any other application. Is there any way to be able to open these files again without having to reinstall 3.11 and saving the files individually?

If you backed up files with MWBackup (Windows Backup) you have a problem.
MWBackup files need to be restored by same Utility, unlike MSBackup (DOS Backup) which had backup files published as MSBACK.exe on the MS FTP Site. MWBack was not included.
Both MSBackup & MWBackup are infact part of MS-DOS 6.22 (Or other version of 6.x)
I will e-mail files needed to extract backup files within the next few days.
