Hi, i was wondering if i can control another computer through the serial port. Please, anyone can tell me if that is possible. Can i execute applications located in the other computer using the serial port? How can i do? Thanx for your replies.
You can map drives over a serial port using DOS interlnk - I'm not sure if that's what you're asking. It'll behave much like any network, although data rate over the null modem cable is somewhat slow. Some applications may not work with this type of connection
Why don't they make computers that will do what we think we want them to do?
Thanx for your replies. After i wrote the message i started thinking about interlnk-intersvr, but there´s still a problem: do you have access to the CD-ROM of the other machine with that DOS program? I think not, i´m not so sure at this moment. I´ll prove it and let you know.
