Reading later Windows files with 16 bit

Does anyone know of a program which will allow us to read files from later Word for Windows (32 bit) with a 16 bit machine running Windows 3.11? Or under DOS?
Obviously one accepts that not all the fancy formatting will be correct but if we could just get the gist of what the files is saying it would be a great help when reading E-Mail attachments.
Microsoft has free downloads for WordViewer which will allow you to read Word for Windows (32 bit) with Windows 3.1, but you won't be able to manipulate the file. It doesn't always work perfectly but it isn't bad. I think there is also a viewer up there for PowerPoint.
