Hi, can somemone advise, presently doing a PC repair course. I am stuck on a couple of questions -1. Which utility is used to read the contents of bad clusters - I think it is ScanDisk.

2. Which utility identifies bad clusters? - I think ScanDisk again.

This is multiple choice between COPy, DiskEdit, DiskCOpy, ScanDisk.

If you can help or direct me to detailed info I would be very thankful

"This is multiple choice between COPy, DiskEdit, DiskCOpy, ScanDisk."

Hoo-boy! Aside from the fact that the names are self explanatory or that by employing the 'help' switch (such as scandisk /?) a brief explanation of each is given, you could (given the wits and the urge to do so) look these things up, either on Google or even with the antique but functional 'DOS Help' program

Time to get out - I predict a grim future for you in this field, which requires both knowledge and the ability to think and find things out for oneself

This may be a more suitable and rewarding venue
