Prog can't run in Dos mode

When trying to run a prog in WFW I get the message "This prog cannot run in DOS mode". Is there any way around this please??

well, is it a DOS program? if it is maybe you need to open it in pure DOS. that is, exit windows. i have to do that when i play snood on my computer. if it isn't, maybe it's a .PIF problem, but i don't know much about .PIFs.

Is it a Win32 program? Win32 program won't run on WFW 3.x, if no Win32 installed. Or if this is a Win16 program, did you start the program from a Win3.x DOS box instead of the Win3.x File Manager?
