Problem with 486 and win 3.11!!

i have an oooollddd 486/66 and im trying to put windows 3.11 on it. i tried to install 95, but it couldnt handle it. anyways, i need to make a boot disk, and bootdisk.com doenst have the option to create a 3.11 bootdisk, or at least i didnt see it. if anyone could tell me what files to put on the disk, or possibly zip them and e-mail them to me at bandtank@hotmail.com id really appreciate it.

did you install dos first need to put dos6.2 in first

where can i get dos6.2? and then how do i install win 3.11 over it? i dont really have any idea what im doing, i am 10x more familiar with newer hardware...

Tony, how much RAM does your old machine have? If you have 16 Mb or more you should have no problem running Win95 on a 486 DX66; that's what I'm using. You need close to 100 Mb of hard drive for the OS, less if you can get the original release (950). All previous versions of Windows were just programs that DOS would run, not actual Operating Systems, so of course there's no such thing as a Win 3.11 boot disk.

Summary: I had windows 95 installed on my laptop and it runned a little slow on the 486 running at 66mhz then i installed windows 3.11 it told me to restart the computer and just when the boot up squence start...
Summary: a need a boot disk that will reconize my cdrom drive i have a memorex just to add i need a boot disk with msdos 6.22 or lower this is for win 3.11 ICQ 46982721 Thank you...
