I bought my computer in 1984. The power supply stopped working after many years of service. It is a 145 W high/low voltage power supply with fan. Can (should) I replace it with a modern (2009) power supply.

I would think so as long as it's an AT power supply and not an ATX.

Wait. If you mean the PS/1 you refer to in your system specs above, then you'll likely need a specific replacement power-supply (and the PS/1 wasn't produced until 1990: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_PS/1 )...
