Hey all. I use MSIE 5.00 (16-bit) and I cannot get PNGs to load. I could care less about the transparency I just want them to show up period. All I see is an empty box with a red X.

It is now 2am and I have spent the entire evening searching Google and have come up with nothing. Does anyone know of a plugin or workaround I can use to get PNGs to display?

I have read that allegedly even IE 4 can display PNGs but I had that installed and they didn't work either. On a side note, Opera 3.62 does display PNGs so I know it is possible in Windows 3.11.

Any help would be most greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Gidday Ernie,
Haven't used win3x for some time now, but
thought i'd throw a suggestion anyway...
Would perhaps installing the 16 bit of
ACDsee help or fix the problem, it displays
png's etc etc within win3x when installed,
& usually becomes the default viewer for
most pics, not sure if it has an IE plugin
though, can't hurt to try...
If you do a search for winworld, they host
the 16bit version for download...
