Comment:
I have a laptop running WFW 3.11 networked with a desktop running WinXP Pro. The desktop has a cable modem. This works fine. The laptop can ping the host and the internet (eg: www.google.com). The problem is when I installed IE3 on the laptop without "Internet Mail" and "Stack and Dialer". I dont need the old stack I have a newer version (coz the network is fine). However, IE cannot access the internet it says "Load Failed" whenever I enter an address.

I would suggest you install the updated TCP32B TCP/IP stack and IE5 16bit. Links have been posted previously in this forum where to obtain this software.
