I am having trouble installing my Xircom Credit Card IIps on my Sceptre (Compal) TS30AS laptop. When I try to run the driver setup program in windows I get a message "system has no usable IO port. An existing device should be removed from the system". Is this referring to IRQs or possible PCMCIA drivers? I then tired to load what I believed to be the DOS driver for it and got an "another device is using the same combase" error. Which I also had when I tried to use the card in Windows 95. I have found some informaiton which seems to point to me having to change settings to I/O 340 MODE IO IRQ 11 MEM DC 000 but what file do I need to change that in? I have never really dealt with installing modem or network hardware in WinDOwS so any help as to what I need to do would be greatly appreciated.

Firstly your Laptop only supports 16bit PCMCIA cards not 32bit, is it a 16bit card?
Secondly, when you install PCDOS7.xx you have the option of installing PCMCIA support (Card & Sockets Services Software), if you did not do this then you need to do so as this software configures the I/O.
