"how to open c: from dos"
"C:" (without the quotes)
"how to open harddrive and install windows 98 or win3.1"
For Windows 3.1, you need to run "setup.exe" from the first floppy. For Win98, the same from the Win98 folder of the CD, (or in rare cases, "setup.exe" from the first floppy as well). That assumes that you don't have an upgrade version of '98
What is the exact problem you're having?
