I am trying to get an old Packard Bell Legend 204CD running for my sis. I have reinstalled Dos 6.22 and Win 3.1. I can't get the sound to work so assume I need a driver for this sound card. Although the CDrom is attached to the sound card and it is being recognized. But when checking sound in Main, the items are greyed out showing it isn't working. Does anyone know where I can get a driver? The only name on the sound card is Packard Bell. We do not have the original Packard Bell Software. Also, anyone know an internet service provider she could use with this system? I know it would be easier to buy her a new one, but can't at this time. Thanks for any help.

you need to go into controls, drivers, add, and then select soundblaster. either one will probably work. hope your sister appreciates old stuff!

You need to say where you live for someone to give you an idea of a good ISP Provider?

well, even though most people don't get Time Warner, i think Road Runner works everywhere. i may be wrong, though. i get Time Warner Cable. if you get RR, you can use dialup for free, or keep the laptop on a desk like my sister and use a cable modem.
