Osbourne desktop cd? what is it

Specs: win 3.11, 3.3gb/2gb

I was given this cd and the readme file on it says this:

No real idea what the cd is for. Seems there was a Osborne Computers company in Australia that managed to stay alive until the mid 90's.

Most modern thing with that name I could find reference to was a 486 and none of this could pertain to the cd you have.

That thing just may have 6.2 and Win3.11 on it...without more information, it's hard to say.

Oh that is interesting as i have been to a couple of SLUG groups in sydney he he. So the Osbourne was a brand of computer...interesting. Thanks for that! So the cd is not usable. Would have been nice to have something to send with some old pc that me and a friend are sending to a remote region/country.

Ok so maybe the win 3.11 files might be ok and dos. Will try and look more at the files on the cd later and get back to you on it...

I had one of these CDs a long time ago. It came with computers from Osbourne and contained DOS, Windows, a bunch of drivers (SoundBlaster, mouse, printers that could be bundled with the system, etc.), and other random stuff.

OK unfortunately i gave this away....hmmmm maybe i did give it to my friend that is sending the computers overseas. I will find out soon anyway as i have to assess the computers lightly before they are sent
